Well, I just wanted to create the fix for myself for now.
I do not know if other players has the issue to the same degree, but I can attack hostile stalker groups around the campfire, and they simply refuse to notice me, even after shooting some of them. Hand grenades are the only way I can switch them to self defense.

But yes, if it requires engine tweaks, then the best I can do to wait for R7, which won't be released soon, if I am not mistaken.
