Changing character portraits

I'm trying to change character portraits for the player character and wondering how to do so. To put it in better terms I'm trying to figure out how to point to certain portraits for use in the new game character creation screen as the options there are limited I'd like to add more options but am unsure how to do so.

Okay awesome thank you! Another question, how do I get it to point to certain portraits in ui_actor_portrets.dds? I see the portraits I want to add but I do not know the name to add into faction_portraits.ltx.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Call of Chernobyl\gamedata\configs\ui\textures_descr\ui_actor_portrets.xml

Texture descriptions are just aliases for x,y,w,h coordinates on a specific texture. Fastest way to find coordinate for a specific name would be to use gimp and set grid width to 123 and height to 87 and show grid.

Thats fantastic thanks! I figured it all out. Sorry for all the questions, I'm looking to make a mod with CoC but its been a long time since I've done any modding with STALKER, last time I did was some minor with on road to limansk. So thanks again for your help.
