A problem of CoC 1.4 Stalker-CoC.exe

Postby moeflyer » 29 Sep 2016, 09:56

My Antivirus software got a false positive on the Stalker-CoC.exe in CoC 1.4 pack and automatically quarantine it.

What should I do?

Unquarantine it and whitelist it?

Or if you know how to use AHK compile it yourself:

Code: Select all

#Warn
#SingleInstance, Force
Args( CmdLine := "", Skip := 0 ) {     ; By SKAN,  http://goo.gl/JfMNpN,  CD:23/Aug/2014 | MD:24/Aug/2014
  Local pArgs := 0, nArgs := 0, A := []

  pArgs := DllCall( "Shell32\CommandLineToArgvW", "WStr",CmdLine, "PtrP",nArgs, "Ptr" )

  Loop % ( nArgs )
     If ( A_Index > Skip )
       A[ A_Index - Skip ] := StrGet( NumGet( ( A_Index - 1 ) * A_PtrSize + pArgs ), "UTF-16" )

Return A,   A[0] := nArgs - Skip,   DllCall( "LocalFree", "Ptr",pArgs )
}

CmdLine := DllCall( "GetCommandLine", "Str" )
Skip    := ( A_IsCompiled ? 1 : 2 )
argv    := Args( CmdLine, Skip )

SkipReg := false
NewCmdLine := ;"-fsltx fsgame_coc.ltx"
for k,v in argv
{
   if (v == "-skip_reg")
   {
      SkipReg := true
   } else {
      if (k > 0) {
         NewCmdLine := NewCmdLine . " " . v
      }
   }
}

if (SkipReg == false) {
   RegRead, RegExist1, HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Valve\Steam\Apps\41700, Installed
   RegRead, RegExist2, HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Valve\Steam\Apps\41700, directx
   RegRead, RegExist3, HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\GSC Game World\STALKER-COP, installpath
   RegRead, RegExist4, HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\GSC Game World\STALKER-COP, installpath
   if (RegExist1 == "" && RegExist2 == "" && RegExist3 == "" && RegExist4 == ""){
      MsgBox, A S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat installation has not been detected. Call of Chernobyl requires you to own a valid copy of GSC Game World's S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat.
      Exit
   }
}

FileMove, appdata\logs\*.log, appdata\logs\*.bkp, 1

Nope, even I unquarantine it and the program just quarantine it again, and it doesn't have a whitelist function...

My antivirus program is McAfee Internet Security.

That sucks, McAfee used to have a whitelist but I guess they are stupid now.

Had some issues with CoC (CTD) then the executable disappeared and I see this:

It is a false positive. Either un-quarantine it, make your own stalker-coc.exe using AutoHotkey with the source code above or make your own shortcut to xrEngine.exe with the start-in path set to the main CoC directory. There is nothing I can do.
