[fixed] Sound files in gamedata

Postby Nuxes » 31 Aug 2016, 06:02

There are some ambient sounds that annoy me, so I extracted them to gamedata and replaced the files with $no_sound.ogg, and yet I still here the old sounds in game. Is there something I'm missing? The files are mono 44khz.

Gamedata takes priority over the *db. Check your paths.

gamedata\sounds\ambient\random\*.ogg

I'm trying to replace all the various scream and horror sounds.

I downloaded gamedata\configs\environmentambients.ltx and sound_channels.ltx off of bitbucket and now it works. I had previously tried extracting these two files from the db, but that lead to chrashing.
