suit missing,wrong texture

Hey, I downloaded the leak and was looking at the meshes when I noticed two errors:
- duty rookie armor has no texture
- cs rookie outfit uses the standard texture

Fixed both with hexedit to point them in the right direction. Just check both your files and these ones in ogf viewer before adding them.

Also, on a completely different note. I noticed the load out ltxes aren't used any more. Where they broken? They were super useful and are missed dearly. Do I have to manually add each load out in char_desc_gen now?

EDIT:
I'm a damn idiot. The rookie_outfit mesh isn't used for CS rookie suit only. I've copied the mesh and renamed it to cs_rookie_outfit, it needs to be changed in outfit.ltx to point to the CS one.

Hey, thanks very much.

The script was removed because it was unused and a similar feature was added to the engine. But I will look in git log for the last version of it and post it for you. But all you would need to do is put it into your gamedata\scripts folder and add it to the modules list in axr_main.script.

I plan on developing a script and batch program to automate the character_descr_*.xml profiles in a similar detailed manner as the xrs_rnd_npc_loadout.script using the more appropriate engine method.

It should work with older configs, in ai_tweaks, etc. I'm assuming you have them.

Thanks for the clarification. I have all your old files back to APP v1.01 8-)

I spent countless hours in ms-paint to make icons for the duty novice suit and the freedom novice suit. Also, don't know if oversight or intentional but I added the crow beak to monster item drop. Should you want to use it, I lifted the crow beak mesh from misery mod.

One thing I've been meaning to ask since ai tweaks days. Is it possible for the quick release field kit to not be a backpack of its own but to check and use a backpack in the inventory? If none present it does nothing (ie. there is no backpack to quick release). This way there are not two backpack entities and both items have a specific purpose. Added a quick release buckle icon next to the tiny backpack in case it is possible and or a good idea.

Before it wasn't but now with the new OXR features I added, like new context menu stuff, this is a very good idea. I will add a new context menu item to normal backpacks to 'quick release'. Sound good?

Yeah, that works for me but you'll lose being able to add it to quickbind slots.

Okay I spawned as every faction ran around teleported to random places looking for red lines in the console for missing bumpmaps etc. These are the ones missing.

I forgot to say the act_faces_1_06 _bump.dds and act_faces_1_06 _bump.thm in the coc db both have a space in the name. Those two files can be removed.

Sources for these files are the SoC, CS, CoP and CoC databases and maybe a file or two from variation mod. So there is no new credits needed.


These are the last few I could find. I generated a few nm files because I couldn't find a replacement in the above mentioned sources. Tbh I couldn't see any difference with auto generated files so it's up to your discretion whether to use them or not.
