I have an idea for a random stash generator which I can use for surrendering NPCs but I need help collecting positional data for good stash spots on every map. If anyone wants to help, enable debug in configs\debug\xrs_debug_tools. In the main menu press 'P' to write the actor's positional data to positional_info.txt in the main directory. Then open this file and type what kind of stash you suggest it should be, like rucksack, chest or loose. Loose is just like the vanilla stashes. Then rate it on a scale of 10 how hard it is to find which will factor into what kind of loot will be in the stash.

So, it should look like this. I'll write a parser to sort this out for me later:

I need tons of spots, don't matter if some of the spots are close to others as these stashes will be generated on demand so that the player can't cheat or know where these stashes are.

I'm up for this. You want this for every map, right?

I'll have a bunch of free time today so I'll do what I can.

Every map, maybe the underground too since I do enable level changers there after the quest.


Use the debug console to teleport to levels.

type for example:

or
level jupiter
or
level pripyat
or
level jupiter_underground


This only works for levels that have LCs to the other level. So going from zaton to jupiter_underground won't work but it will work if you type 'level jupiter_underground' while in Jupiter or Pripyat.

Dunno if you know already but you can teleport to last demo_record camera position just by clicking the Teleport to Cam button in the debug menu which you can get to by pressing 'S' in main menu with debug enabled.
